The best movies about dreaming. Not the most expensive or the most visually successful. Just don't look for Inception or Dreamscape here. Certainly not Vanilla Sky or Jacob's Ladder. Similarly, neither are gore movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street or Beyond Dream's Door. These films have their merits, no doubt, but they're more about something other than dreaming.
The main aspects of the selection are the story, the idea, and the depiction of dreams or dreaminess, or at least parts of it. So there are five films that are worth the time, because you can't watch everything, so you have to choose, ideally the good ones:
